AVAILABLE TECHNOLOGIES AND IMAGERS
Color imagers provide the highest resolution imagery and are ideal for target acquisition. Equipped with HD image sensors with continuous zoom optics and separate narrow field-of-view telescopes optimized for long-range imaging.
Thermal imagers are effective during daylight conditions as well as in complete darkness - providing the added benefit of seeing temperature variations within a scene.
Short-wave infrared (SWIR) Imagers are excellent at seeing through daytime atmospheric obscurants like haze and smoke. They also provide the ability to see covert beacons and laser wavelengths used by law enforcement.
High Sensitivity Color Low-light Cameras enable imaging performance to extend into sub-optimal illumination conditions such as dusk, overcast skies and nighttime urban-lit scenes. The low-light color performance is a great aid at night.
Progressive image processing features such as noise reduction, sharpening and local-area contrast enhancement, that make feature recognition, letters and numbers easier to discern.
Advanced Video Tracker (AVT) automatically identifies objects in any scene and allows the operator to select the desired target for tracking through field-of-view changes, direction changes and obstructions – eliminating the need for manual adjustment.
Moving Target Indicator (MTI) automatically detects and annotates multiple moving objects in any scene. This eases operator burden when viewing areas of interest during surveillance missions, especially small targets.
WESCAM MX systems, with their wide variety of available interfaces, can be integrated with most auxiliary components such as moving maps, digital downlink systems, slaved searchlights, mission computers and more.
