US Air Force Awards L3Harris Technologies IDIQ Contract for Radar Proximity Sensors to Enhance Pilot Munition Targeting

The U.S. Air Force has awarded L3Harris Technologies (NYSE:LHX) a seven-year IDIQ contract to provide advanced radar proximity sensors that will enhance pilot munition targeting.

The Cockpit-Selectable Height-of-Burst Sensor (C-HOBS) sensors will replace the current DSU-33 sensors and address obsolescence issues, enhance performance and add functionality.

Work on the contract will be performed at L3Harris’ Precision Engagement Systems operations in Ohio and Texas. The sector is a recognized leader in the engineering, design, and manufacture of weapons and radar systems, unmanned aircraft systems, GPS solutions, and ground vehicle engines and transmissions.
