AS-49052 Monopole Blade Antenna

Overview

The AS-49052 was used as the flight termination system blade on the Atlas II Program. The AS-49052 is a tunable monopole blade antenna and is linearly polarized.

It was designed to maintain electrical performance when subjected to hostile environments. The antenna’s radiation patterns are dependent on the size and shape of the vehicle and where the antenna is located on the vehicle.
