“Combatting COVID-19 requires a global effort, and we are focused on keeping our employees safe, helping our customers sustain their critical services and supporting efforts to combat the virus’ spread. I am especially proud of the dedication our employees have exhibited during this trying period and remain committed to supporting them, our customers and those on the front lines of the coronavirus battle.” William M. Brown, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

L3Harris has partnered with the DoD, AIA and Air Force to find solutions to the problems we are facing in our communities.

In addition to donating equipment and resources, including thousands of protective suits and masks, L3Harris and its employees developed a low-cost DIY ventilator design to support COVID-19 patients, and worked with hospitals to provide respirators and medical grade components.

Responding to a critical need, L3Harris provided its BeOn communication service to healthcare and public safety workers combating COVID-19 at no cost for 90 days. The BeOn software application allows users to turn their smartphones, laptops and other devices into an encrypted public safety radio, making immediate communications to individuals or large talk groups possible. The donation enabled thousands of healthcare workers, public safety agencies and other entities to perform their work more effectively and efficiently.

L3Harris has implemented rigorous safety procedures and extended a number of services to protect and support employees through the pandemic.

We have enabled 50% of employees to work from home, redesigned workspaces to ensure social distancing, instituted stringent hygiene protocols and staggered work shifts where critical work is underway.

We activated our Employee Emergency Assistance Fund known as L3Harris Cares, offering grants to employees experiencing unexpected financial burden,  created the Back-to-School Laptop program for employees who faced difficulty acquiring electronic devices needed for virtual learning and expanded our Employee Assistance Program to help employees and families .

We are dedicating our resources to support the government agencies and other organizations providing vital services during this critical period.

L3Harris contributed $2 million to COVID-19 response and recovery efforts. This included social impact grants made to 39 organizations in 19 states where L3Harris has facilities, financial assistance to local United Way agencies and the American Red Cross, and a 2X match to employee-designated gifts to these and other organizations.

To help sustain our nation’s supply chain, we also accelerated more than $450 million in payments to small business suppliers nationwide.

Supporting critical missions throughout the globe is part of our DNA, and L3Harris is proud of our 48,000 employees who are giving everything they have to help keep the world safe and secure.
