United States Air Force Academy L3Harris Night 2022

1 minute Read

More than 200 L3Harris employees attended the game, the second time the company sponsored one of the Falcon’s home games as part of a multi-sport athletics support agreement.

Academy Superintendent Lt. Gen. Richard M. Clark presented L3Harris representatives with a game ball on the field before kickoff, thanking them for the company’s athletics support.

“It was great to be on the field and be surrounded by the cadets and their supporters during the last home game of the season,” said Space and Airborne Systems Business Development Senior Director Joel Nelson, who is a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate. “It underscored how L3Harris is supporting the academy and the future Air Force and Space Force leaders.”

The sponsorship is part of a long relationship between L3Harris and the Air Force, which began with the service’s predecessor the U.S. Army Air Corps. L3Harris supported the Air Force upon its creation in 1947 and similarly was already working with the Space Force when it was created in 2019.

Upcoming L3Harris nights are scheduled for the Jan. 31 basketball game against Boise State and hockey games Jan. 21 against Niagara University and Feb. 17 against American International College.
