This agreement builds on earlier cooperation agreement signed in 2023 and represents the next step in industrial collaboration between L3Harris and Polish defense industry leaders.
L3Harris, a global technology company, leverages its international network of facilities to provide real-time regional support, backed by a worldwide enterprise of insight and innovation.
“Agreements like this create lasting value by deepening collaboration with local industry, growing the skilled workforce and strengthening sovereign defense capabilities” said Christopher Aebli, President, Communications & Spectrum Dominance, L3Harris.
The WIDMO is a battle-proven system that provides resilient, software-defined communications to the dismounted soldier. It is fully interoperable with systems across virtually all Polish land and airborne platforms and enables seamless network extension of Poland’s Battle Management Systems.
With more than 30,000 radio systems delivered to Ukraine to date, L3Harris solutions have proven effective in combat, giving militaries confidence in their reliability and resilience against advanced electronic warfare threats.
“We are proud of the legacy we have built in supporting the Polish Armed Forces, with over 12,500 radio systems currently in service across the nation,” said Magdalena Radzyminski, Regional Managing Director, L3Harris. “We are equally proud to expand that support into the future through local production of these systems. We look forward to continuing to strengthen Poland’s defense and industrial capabilities over many years to come.”
L3Harris delivers highly sophisticated communication systems to nations around the world, including Poland and all NATO allies. It employs a sophisticated security architecture designed to safeguard both devices and networks, with software-defined radios certified for communications up to the NATO Secret and capable of running the European Secure Software Defined Radio (ESSOR) waveform.
The company’s technology provides immediate interoperability with key platforms. Further, L3Harris’ fully operational, high-volume production lines ensure timely delivery of the world’s best radios to meet the needs of the Polish Armed Forces as it grows the size of its force to 300,000 troops.
