CRANFIELD, UK — L3Harris Technologies (NYSE:LHX) has today unveiled its new training facilities at the Cranfield Airline Academy.
The new facilities enhance the learning experience for cadets and increase simulator capacity at Cranfield by introducing two new simulators, a Diamond DA42 Tdi and DA42NG, and classrooms for flight briefings. It allows L3Harris to meet increasing demand for simulator training for new pilots as the industry continues its recovery and establishes Cranfield as L3Harris’ UK center of excellence for Multi Engine training.
L3Harris’ flight training center is located at Cranfield University which holds a strong reputation across Europe for its research and development within Aerospace, being the UK’s top destination for aerospace engineering postgraduate students and the largest provider of accredited aerospace degree courses.
Cranfield University is the only university in Europe with its own airport and runway and as well as the training facilities, L3Harris’ students are able to immerse themselves in a university campus lifestyle with on campus accommodation surrounded by advanced Aerospace technology and innovation.
