The L3Harris S058 is an ED-112-compliant integrated Cockpit Area Microphone (CAM) suitable for installation in a wide variety of aircraft. Key features include improved immunity to airframe and helicopter vibration, as well as cell phone and GSM signals and RF interferences. This solution provides surface or panel mount options and easy installation. The TSO approval simplifies certification for aircraft manufacturers, installers and end users.

Compliant with ED-112 specifications

The S058 is a direct replacement for the proven S056 model and compliant with the ED-112 specifications. The S058 Cockpit Area Microphone includes Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology, improved vibration immunity for helicopter and turboprop installations, and improved cell phone/GSM signal immunity.

 

Versatile mounting options and formats

The S058 is compatible with the S161/S261 control units and works directly on FA5000 and FA2100 family recorders. Mounting also is compatible with legacy CAM models. The S058 unit features simplified installation and wiring that make installation easier and less expensive. Options include surface-mount or panel-mount installations.
