L3Harris Delivers Missionized Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Aircraft

L3Harris Technologies has delivered its second operational Bombardier Global 6500 aircraft missionized with intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities. The aircraft has greater survivability and targeting line of sight along with more capacity for payloads and standoff ranges to support critical missions across the globe.

In February 2025, L3Harris delivered the first missionized Bombardier Global 6500 aircraft. The latest delivery establishes the only pair of fully operational platforms equipped with advanced radar, electronic and communications intelligence capabilities.

“Given the operational need for affordable yet capable ISR aircraft, we are seeing an uptick in demand to take a commercial platform like a business jet and add mission equipment and survivability features,” said Jason Lambert, President, ISR, L3Harris. “This model accelerates the timeline for aircraft delivery and mission readiness.”

The delivery of the next-generation ISR aircraft brings the company’s total to 103 missionized business jets fielded to date. It reinforces the company’s global market leadership in business jet missionization. With more than 70 years of experience, the company has delivered thousands of aircraft missionized for ISR, maritime and other special missions based on more than 130 platform types from dozens of aircraft manufacturers.

The company has an additional 14 business jet aircraft modifications currently on order.
