L3Harris Technologies welcomed staff members from the offices of Gov. Mike Braun, Sen. Todd Young, Sen. Jim Banks and Rep. Marlin Stutzman along with local economic and business leaders for an exclusive tour of its Fort Wayne facility.
The visit, hosted in collaboration with the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, provided an opportunity for the visiting officials to see the company’s expanded 95,000-square-foot facility, which will support engineering, integration, testing and program management for its missile defense programs.
“L3Harris is ready to deliver next-generation technology that will advance the nation’s missile warning and defense capabilities, in direct support of the Golden Dome for America,” said Rob Mitrevski, President, Golden Dome Strategy and Integration, L3Harris. “We are prepared to accelerate production to meet this national priority.”
L3Harris has invested hundreds of millions of dollars in infrastructure and manufacturing processes across the United States to meet the continuing growth in demand, including $250 million to renovate and expand manufacturing facilities for space-based missile warning and defense technologies in Indiana, Florida and Massachusetts.
The company’s Indiana facility supports the production of mission-critical advanced infrared sensor technology for a variety of premier missile defense programs, as well as for civil weather programs for customers around the globe. L3Harris’ recent expansion of its Indiana campus tripled the size of its manufacturing and testing space, creating the capacity to produce up to 48 payloads per year.
L3Harris is poised to deliver advanced capabilities for President Trump’s Golden Dome for America today. The company produces a range of proven technologies that enable a multi-domain, layered architecture, including satellites, datalinks, multi-domain ISR, precision fire-control sensing, and propulsion and control systems for interceptors.
