US Air Force Selects L3Harris to Develop Digital Infrastructure for its Advanced Battle Management System Network

MELBOURNE, Fla., May 7, 2026 — L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has been selected to develop key features of the secure and resilient digital infrastructure that will serve as the backbone of the U.S. Air Force’s command and control network.

L3Harris will strengthen the Air Force’s Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) data integration and networking capabilities. This effort will be foundational to combining data from multiple sources and providing the warfighter with a real-time, comprehensive view of the battlefield.

“This new digital infrastructure will provide the warfighter with more secure, timely and usable information, allowing them to connect sensors and shooters across domains – in complex operational environments” said Kathy Crandall, President, Mission Networks, Space & Mission Systems, L3Harris. “We will build off L3Harris’ rich legacy of developing and operating large-scale communications networks to meet the demands of modern military operations.”

ABMS is a critical component of the Department of War’s Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control strategy, aimed to unify and integrate military operations across all services. L3Harris will apply modern data processing and networking technologies to develop the ABMS digital infrastructure.
