A Critical Electronic Warfare Asset for Modern Military Operations
The Gladius EW family of systems provides warfighters with advanced protection against a wide variety of electronic attacks. It rapidly analyzes incoming signals, identifies potential threats and generates appropriate responding signals and waveforms to defeat those threats.
Gladius is programmable and can respond fully autonomously and/or make recommendations to the user. The system is designed to be interoperable with existing platforms and communications networks, ensuring that countermeasures can be coordinated across multiple operational environments.
Gladius offers a comprehensive, proven solution that enhances situational awareness, mission effectiveness and force protection – seamlessly and affordably – making it a critical asset for modern military operations.
Built on a Legacy of EW Leadership
L3Harris has led the EW field for decades, successfully deploying systems across a range of platforms and domains. The company collaborated on the original standards for U.S. military ground EW requirements in the early 2000s.
As threats become more complex, L3Harris continues to evolve its solutions, leveraging its agility, deep mission knowledge and collaborative approach with the U.S. military, university-affiliated research centers, government labs and nontraditional partners.
Made Future-Fit with Adaptive Algorithms and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Gladius’ use of static and dynamic algorithms and AI enables it to perform a variety of roles (including signals intelligence, electronic attack and electronic protection) and dynamically respond to changing threat environments. The system combines previously separate capabilities into a single, integrated system with the same operational footprint as earlier systems. It achieves this – and seamlessly integrates with existing platforms and networks – via state-of-the-art system-on-chip (SoC) and radiofrequency integrated circuit (RFIC) technology, as well as optimized hardware and software architecture. Its open systems architecture and modularity simplify modernization without vendor lock.
Proven in Technical and Real-World Demonstrations
Recent demonstrations prove Gladius’ advanced performance for even the most demanding missions.
Aligned with Critical Military Missions
Gladius contributes to safety and survivability in diverse and challenging environments with deployment on temporary or permanent structures, on vehicles and in manpacks. It meets stringent operational requirements across multiple mission profiles.
