Next Generation Interceptor

Overview

L3Harris is the propulsion provider for the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) as part of the Lockheed Martin team.

L3Harris provides NGI’s large solid rocket motors, the Divert and Attitude Control System (DACS), the Attitude Control System (ACS), as well as telescopes for the interceptor.

NGI will serve as the United States’ first line of defense against long-range ballistic missile threats as a part of MDA’s Ground-based Midcourse Defense system.
