The L3Harris lightweight Portable Interface (PI) is a simple yet sophisticated handheld portable interface device that gives operators the ability to quickly and effortlessly retrieve data from FA2100 series recorders. The intuitive user interface – a seven-key keypad with an eight-line display – operates as a stand-alone device to perform a variety of data retrieval functions critical to operational effectiveness.
- Enables storage of data from multiple aircraft flights using high-capacity PC card (PCMCIA)
- Permits simultaneous CVR reproduction of six analog channels and enables real-time audio monitoring
- Powered by the FA2100 FDR, CVR and CVDR recorder
Information you need
When operators need information – and need it right away – there is no easier way than using the L3Harris Portable Interface (PI). The PI gives operators the ability to retrieve, monitor, digitally copy (with time tag) and playback Flight Data Recorder (FDR), Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) and Cockpit Voice and Data Recorder (CVDR) data. Using the handheld PI, which draws its power directly from the FA2100 FDR, CVR and CVDR recorder, the operator can easily obtain full or partial downloads of real-time raw digital flight data.
Simple menu-driven user interface
Keeping information in a usable, understandable format is critical if it is going to be used in real time. With the L3Harris Portable Interface, information is secured through a menu-driven user interface with fault output display capability. By selecting the right information the first time, errors are eliminated and essential data is properly identified and copied quickly. It then can be rapidly transferred to other media for wider dissemination and review.
