Type Rating Course

L3Harris is a significant provider of type rating training for specific aircraft types, including: Boeing 737NG, Airbus A320 and A330, and ATR 72-500 and 72-600.

Type Rating Instructor (TRITS) Course

Our Type Rating Instructor course is designed to support airlines with the development of instructors to ensure professional training standards are maintained.

Type Rating Examiner Standardization (TRES) Course

World renowned as one of the only UKCAA-approved Type Rating Examiner Standardization courses, we are proud to support airline instructors with training to become Type Rating examiners.

With a focus on practical and ethical distinctions between instructing and examining, L3Harris uses advanced flight simulators to mirror real-world environments and scenarios to prepare trainees for the transition from instructor to examiner.

Examiner Refresher Course (ERC)

As per EASA Part-FCL.1025, examiners working in the commercial air transport field must undertake an Examiner Refresher Course to revalidate any examiner certifications once they expire.

Airline Pilot Standard (APS)/MCC Course

At L3Harris, we are proud to have created an enhanced airline pilot training course to develop crucial skills and experience prior to Type Rating training.

Designed to benefit pilots, airlines and regulators, the APS MCC is a 14 day airline pilot training program that combines ground school and simulator training to prepare newly qualified cadets for a successful career as a commercial airline pilot. CCQ & Differences Course

The CCQ & Differences is an airline pilot training course designed to support trainees with the transition from an A320 Airbus to an A330 Airbus (or reversed). Trainees will be trained and assessed in all areas required for the issue of an EASA A330 Type-Rating.

Tailored to your needs as an operator, the course can also include:

  • ZFTT
  • Take-off and landing training (base training)
  • Your LV qualification
  • OPC

Teaching & Learning Part 1 Course

Our rewarding Teaching & Learning Part 1 course is the first step towards becoming a successful, experienced Type Rating Instructor or Synthetic Flight Instructor (TRI/SFI).

During this 25 hour course, trainees will learn about the core competencies required to become an instructor, from teaching methods to practical briefing.
