Examiner Refresher Course (ERC)

Course overview

The examiner refresher course (ERC) is designed to support examiners from a commercial air transport environment to revalidate their examiner certificate as per EASA Part-FCL.1025.

The ERC is a one-day course held at the London Training Center. Examiners are required to attend the full course and provide their Authority evidence of attendance as part of their revalidation or renewal process.

Course content

The ERC commences with a review of European legislation covering basic regulation, and the relevant parts of the annexes to the commission of regulations 1178/2011 as amended by 290/2012
The course highlights the changes resulting from the legislation and how they affect the ‘examiner’. Candidates are familiarized with the layout of Part FCL, subparts H, J and K and the relevant contents of Part ARA, with practical examples to help clarify understanding
Administration procedures with the new paperwork and relevant CAA Information Notices (IN) are also covered, as will changes in retention of records and the implications of the Data Protection Act
