L3Harris Appoints Rob Mitrevski to Lead Enterprise Pursuit of Golden Dome
L3Harris Technologies has appointed Rob Mitrevski as President, Golden Dome Strategy and Integration, a new role created to lead the company’s pursuit of the U.S. government’s next-generation missile defense initiative.
Our Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor satellite, known as HBTSS, launched in February 2024 and is a proven on-orbit system capable of tracking maneuvering hypersonic missiles. This is expected to be a core component of the Golden Dome architecture. If we were to get an award in the next few months, we could launch enough satellites into orbit while President Trump is still in office, thereby having complete coverage of the U.S.

To create the Golden Dome for America, the Department of Defense needs mission-oriented industry partners with the breadth and scale to support this defense shield with global reach. L3Harris produces a range of proven technologies that enable a multi-domain, layered architecture, including satellites, datalinks, multi-domain ISR, precision fire-control sensing, propulsion and control systems for interceptors, as well as ballistic missile targets for testing.

To deliver American-made capabilities for Golden Dome at the pace and scale required, L3Harris has invested hundreds of millions of dollars in infrastructure and manufacturing processes across the U.S., including in Camden, Arkansas; Fort Wayne, Indiana; Orange County, Virginia; Huntsville, Alabama; Palm Bay, Florida; and Wilmington, Massachusetts.
