US Space Force Declares Meadowlands System Operationally Accepted

The U.S. Space Force has declared the L3Harris Technologies Meadowlands System operationally accepted, marking a critical milestone in space electromagnetic warfare capabilities. This achievement transitions Meadowlands from development into full mission-ready status, equipping warfighters with advanced technology to detect, identify, and disrupt adversary satellite communications in contested environments.

Meadowlands represents a transformative leap in tactical electromagnetic warfare. As adversaries increasingly rely on satellite communications to coordinate military operations, the ability to deny them that capability provides a decisive advantage. This lighter-weight, transportable system enables one operator to remotely control more simultaneous jamming missions than previous systems, allowing rapid response to emerging threats while evading adversarial countermeasures. Its open architecture allows the system to be quickly updated to address evolving adversary tactics, keeping pace with the speed of threats in an increasingly contested space domain.

"We have exceptionally trained and skilled electromagnetic warfare professionals who are highly motivated and excited about integrating this new Meadowlands capability. This upgraded system enables us to more effectively and efficiently support the joint scheme of maneuver across the continuum of conflict," said U.S. Space Force Lt. Col. Ryan Skilling, 4th Electromagnetic Warfare Squadron commander.

This operational acceptance represents the culmination of close collaboration between L3Harris, Combat Forces Command and Space Systems Command to deliver a capability that fundamentally changes how electromagnetic warfare is conducted.

"With Meadowlands now operationally accepted, we're not just responding to today's threats, we're defining the future of space electromagnetic warfare," said Jeff Hanke, President of Space Systems, L3Harris Technologies. "This system's ability to adapt, scale and operate remotely represents the kind of asymmetric advantage our nation needs. Our warfighters now have a proven, mission-ready capability to disrupt adversary operations while protecting our own."

Operational acceptance of Meadowlands reinforces L3Harris’ position as a trusted partner in space superiority and underscores our dedication to ensuring warfighters have the decisive advantage in any domain, at any time.
