Beyond Anti-Jam: How Advanced GPS Technology Can Keep Airmen Ahead of Evolving Threats

For decades, protecting military GPS largely meant ensuring a signal could get through. Today, the challenge is more complicated. As threats to GPS become more complex, militaries must be prepared for both disruption and manipulation of critical information.

Jamming can interfere with GPS signals and deny access to crucial positioning, navigation and timing data. Spoofing presents a different challenge by introducing false signals that can cause a system to receive inaccurate positioning or timing information.
