The most demanding missions require the most capable imaging equipment. L3Harris designed its WESCAM MX™-Series electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) multi-domain imaging systems to keep operators focused on their mission without concern for the operability or reliability of their equipment. To ensure our imaging systems and customers remain operationally ready, L3Harris continues to invest in a growing establishment of localized WESCAM Authorized Service Centers (WASC) around the world.

L3Harris recently announced it will expand its customer service and electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) imaging sensor system production capabilities in South Korea.

“L3Harris supports the Republic of Korea as it continues to build a robust foundation of self-reliant national defense,” said Kristin Houston, President, Electro Optical. “Together with local enterprise, we will continue to provide customers with unmatched support capabilities designed to meet unique South Korean mission needs.”

Through significant upgrades L3Harris will address major mission requirements of customers in South Korea who demand advanced EO/IR capabilities and solutions for the country’s military programs. The development of assembly capabilities builds on established in-country maintenance and repair capabilities in support of the airborne, land and maritime domains. To accelerate mission-readiness, the facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art WESCAM MX-Series assembly equipment, testing capabilities and technician support systems necessary to ensure that all EO/IR imaging system can be supplied locally.

L3Harris’ WESCAM MX-Series of multi-sensor, multi-spectral, EO/IR surveillance imaging systems are field-proven, supporting intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and target acquisition missions from platforms across multiple domains. L3Harris designed its EO/IR systems to keep operators focused on their mission without concern for operability or reliability of their equipment. Enhancing in-country production enables local experts and technicians to perform the production, repair and maintenance of L3Harris’ WESCAM MX-Series systems. Progressing in-country assembly allows South Korea to benefit from the highest and strictest manufacturing standards and ensure each WESCAM MX-Series system meets their expectations.
