L3Harris Contract Continues Canada Chinook Fleet Support

L3Harris was awarded an additional five-year Boeing contract in 2023 to continue to provide support and test equipment in-service support (ISS) services, logistics support analysis (LSA) and electronic publication management services on Canada’s medium-to-heavy lift helicopter (MHLH) CH-147F Chinook fleet.

"L3Harris’ excellent performance established our company as a long-term partner to Boeing and the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), supporting the Chinook fleet," said Ugo Paniconi, General Manager, L3Harris. "We are very proud of this valued partnership which was recognized with another contract extension."

Under subcontract to Boeing, L3Harris has been supporting Canada’s CH-147F Chinook fleet  for more than a decade since its introduction in 2013. The work is being carried out at the RCAF operating base in Petawawa, Ontario, and in L3Harris’ Mirabel, Quebec, Ottawa, Ontario and Enfield, Nova Scotia facilities. The company is also currently working with Boeing to expand its support to include second line maintenance at the RCAF operating base in Petawawa.

For more than three decades, the RCAF has trusted L3Harris, Canada’s premier ISS integrator, to provide industry-leading ISS expertise  for many of Canada’s vital aircraft fleets, such as the CF-188 Hornet ; CC-150 Polaris; CP-140 Aurora; CH-148 Cyclone; CH-147F Chinook; CT-114 Tutor Snowbirds and now the incoming CC-330 fleet, as part of the Canadian government’s Strategic Tanker Transport Capability project. The company’s Mirabel, Quebec, division employs more than 1,100 employees across 13 operating sites in Canada, supporting RCAF’s missions at home and abroad.
