L3Harris Providing EO/IR targeting systems to Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace for new C-UxS Land Vehicle

L3Harris recently signed an agreement with Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (KDA) for the supply of WESCAM MX-10D RSTA electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensor systems. The agreement enables the delivery of ready-now C-UxS land vehicles equipped with advanced targeting capabilities.

Field-proven and equipped with high-performance tracking software and advanced image processing, WESCAM MX-Series EO/IR systems provide high-performance targeting and designating capabilities to counter new threats from unmanned systems.

This agreement marks L3Harris’ successful track record of integrating its EO/IR sensor systems on multi-role and C-UxS platforms. The MX-Series of multi-sensor, multi-spectral, EO/IR systems support ISR and target acquisition missions on platforms across all domains.

“L3Harris Counter-UxS solutions, including our WESCAM MX-Series EO/IR sensor systems, are pushing the boundaries of kinetic solutions for UAS engagement,” said Tom Kirkland, Vice President & General Manager, Targeting & Sensor Systems, L3Harris Technologies. “New land platforms from Kongsberg are a tremendous opportunity to further prove the effectiveness of our systems against the growing global UAS threat.”

KDA is a leading integrator of modular, scalable and operationally flexible C-UxS systems. Focused on land-based platforms, KDA is leveraging its proven land vehicles and adapting its solutions with advanced sensor systems, command & control systems and kinetic and non-kinetic effectors.
