L3Harris and MHI RJ Aviation Group Collaborate for CRJ Aircraft Maintenance

L3Harris and MHI RJ representatives cut ribbon

L3Harris and MHI RJ Aviation Group hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to announce an agreement to perform base maintenance work on the CRJ aircraft.

MIRABEL, Québec, Oct. 16, 2025 — L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) and MHI RJ Aviation Group have signed an agreement to perform base maintenance work on the CRJ aircraft. This initiative maintains the fleet’s performance and reliability, supporting its continued service for operators and passengers.

L3Harris will carry out the nose-to-tail modifications under this multi-year agreement on CRJ700 and CRJ900 aircraft at two dedicated service lines at the Mirabel facility.

“Today’s inauguration showcases a partnership that is built on a commitment to pioneering innovation and service excellence in our industry,” said Ismail Mokabel, President and COO, MHIRJ. “With these dedicated lines for our base maintenance program, we augment our MRO network, provide accretive value to our customers and support the growing demand for CRJ aircraft and aftermarket services.”

“This collaboration reflects the strength of our trusted partnership and our deep connection to the CRJ program’s legacy,” said Jason Lambert, President, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, L3Harris. “It’s especially meaningful that the same hangars that produced the first CRJ900 prototype will now support its continued evolution through this important modification work.”

“In the current context, this agreement demonstrates Quebec’s exceptional ability to continue attracting major private investment and partnerships in strategic sectors such as aerospace,” said Christine Fréchette, Minister of Economy, Innovation, and Energy. “It is thanks to such collaborations between companies that our aerospace ecosystem, one of the most dynamic in the world, can remain a driver of growth, innovation, and prosperity for all Quebecers.”

Aircraft inductions are underway at the facility. L3Harris and MHIRJ are exploring additional near-term projects that will strengthen this agreement and expand opportunities such as heavy maintenance and engineering services for the CRJ program.
